Master of Arts in Economics (candidate) from Columbia University and Eisenhower Fellow and Economist from Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina. He has vast experience in economics and the financial system, having served for over 40 years in various positions in both public and private organizations. He is nowadays an independent consultant in monetary and banking policy, national and international macroeconomics and economic history issues. He is also the president of the Superior Council and professor at the University of CEMA (Argentina) and a member of the Academic Council of Libertad y Progreso Foundation and of the Management Board of the Carlos Pellegrini Foundation. Previously, he served, among others, as Vice President of the Central Bank of Argentina, Vice President of the Deposit Insurance Agency of Argentina (SEDESA), Advisor at the Ministry of Finance in Argentina, Chief Economist at FIEL and Banco Boston and Executive Director of Consejo Empresario Argentino. Throughout his professional career he has been a lecturer, commentator and coordinator of courses, conferences and seminars on politics, economics and finance organized by the Central Bank of Argentina, SEDESA, Bank of International Settlements (BIS), Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, among many other institutions. Additionally, he has published several research papers and articles in specialized media.
