Mathematical Engineer from National Polytechnic School, Sciences Faculty (Ecuador) and has attended the Postgraduate in Financial Risk (thesis pending) at that institution. He is a specialist in mathematical, statistical, actuarial and financial models, having served in various positions in this area in the public and private sector. At present, he is Chief Credit Risk at Banco del Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social (BIESS). Previously, he was a banking consultant at the Central Bank of Ecuador and a mathematical expert at the Superintendence of Banks and Insurance of Ecuador. Moreover, he was actuarial director at QBE - Insurance Colonial and a planning specialist at the Secretariat of Planning and the Operating Unit of the Trolley System in Ecuador.

Since 2011 he is an associate professional of Fit & Proper.
